World Championships 2019

    This year's Women and U21 Men UNIF Futnet World Championships will be organised by the Slovak Futnet Association (SNA) in Michalovce, Slovakia on 15, 16 and 17 November.

    The championships will be held in two categories – women and U21 men and three different disciplines - single, double, triple. The competition days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
    The entry is free of charge and the organisers will do their utmost to provide webstreaming of most of the matches.  

    Women:
    Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, India, Iraq, Mali, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland

    U21 Men:
    Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, France, India, Iraq, Italy, Mali, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Romania

    Due to financial or visa issues the following countries will not be able to take part: India, Mali, Iraq

    Host town

    Michalovce is a middle-sized town with the population of 40 000 inhabitants in eastern Slovakia, not far from the border with Ukraine. Originally named after the Archangel St Michael, it is the second-largest city in the Košice Region and located on the shores of Zemplínska Šírava water reservoir.

    1. Municipal Sports Hall

    3. Sports hall of Primary School (only Saturday morning for one group in triples)

    The sports halls in Michalovce are a 10-15 min walk from each other, the one in Zalužice is about 10 min drive.

    Playing format

    In case of 10 countries, there are two groups of five teams (with 9 countries, one group will have 4 teams). They play each other in the group. Second and third teams from the group play quarterfinals (QF), the QF winners then play group winners in semifinals. The rest play for final standings for 5th place and lower. SF winners play the final, the losers for 3rd place.

    The draw will be done on 11 November in Michalovce City Hall in the presence of the mayor.
